Augusta, Ga--It may have come as a surprise when Laney product and current Charleston Southern standout Christian Keeling decided to test the NBA waters. What many probably don't realize, keeling will get lots of feedback from teams and then he can decide from there on what he wants to do.
The sophomore started all but two games this past season and led the team in a lot of categories, including averaging nearly 18 points a game. He's put together two big years. This was as good a time as any to get a look and see what all he needs to work on in the future.
"That's one of the biggest things on why I did it, because if I do do good, I might be able to go through the whole process. If I do need to come back for another year, and they give me feedback on what my standings should be, then I'll come back to school. That's why I won't sign with an agent, so it's a win-win situation either way." said Christian Keeling
Keeling says one thing he needs to get better at is just being physical, and in particular in the weight room. Teams can start calling Keeling in another week or so and bring him in for workouts and what not. He did say he'd likely end up back at Charleston Southern for his junior year and playing overseas at some point is always an option as well.
